Weekend shoenailsigans...

Bonjour mes amies!

How are yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa? *picture me singing the yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa out* How was your weekend? I hope it was berrylicious! And how was my weekend?!?!?! Well... it was fun. And busy (as in... BUSY *wink wink*)

Anyways, don't mind me, I'm being naughty... but telling the truth - ah, there I go being naughty again. Oops!

Okay let's really dwell on the OTHER activities of the weekend :D *chuckles*

Going into the weekend, my plan was to sit at home and rest the whooooooooole weekend. No wait, I'd gotten invited to watch an MTN Project Fame episode being taped live, so that was on my radar. BUT apart from that, the plan was to sit at home and rest the whoooooooooooooooole weekend. That worked out well for Friday. And well, Saturday didn't quite work out like that.

On Saturday morning, I woke up and decided to declutter my shoes and give my hair some TLC. Here's the thing with the shoes - my dad and Cakes say I have too many. I disagree. I don't have shoes in some colors. I don't have sandals in some colors. I don't have slippers in some colors. I don't have enough black pumps, etc. So obviously, I don't have enough shoes. That aside, I decided to whittle down the shoes at home to the ones I really like, and show Cakes and my dad that I really don't have that many.

I have only 70 pairs of shoes as you can plainly see.

Those are Cakes' shoes in the other corner.
After decluttering...
You're FIRED!!! a la The Apprentice

Basket of shoes.... You are OUT! a la Project Runway
You are now in the running towards becoming Berry's Next Top Shoes (a la ANTM)
With the shoes decluttering out of the way, the next thing was my hair. Oops, sawry, no pictures.

After that, Cakes and I headed out to the MTN Project Fame taping. Oops, sawry no pictures again. Well, they said they would seize cameras and/or phones, so I just didn't bother. What I can say is that based on the performances, the guys are way better than the girls - this is based on what we saw o. I don't watch the show so I don't know if the performances we saw were a one-off or normal. I highly doubt we'll make the audience shot - even if we do, I don't know when the show is airing. I should mention that they tape on Fridays and Saturdays and it's totally free (I think). So if you want a random different kinda weekend, check them out.It was definitely a fun experience.

Finally, we went to drop off a birthday cupcake bouquet for Stylefash. Unfortunately we couldn't surprise her :( but she loved the cupcakes. Yes, it's a new offering at Cakes' bakery and it will definitely be improved on :D

On Sunday, the original plan was to stay at home and rest. However, I found out that QM Nail Lounge has relocated and they were having a trial launch at the new place (13 Emma Abimbola Cole Street). So I popped on over with my mother-in-law and we got our nehls did. I ran into a couple of loverly ladies - Daks of ThirdWorldProfashional and Anita of Anita Brows Beauty (she did my makeup for my birthday - my blog header is from that night)

No pictures of me unfortunately. I begged and begged and begged Cakes to take my picture, and when he finally got around to it, I wasn't in the mood anymore. I sha managed to take a couple of my mani, so enjoy, I guess.

  4. As a fellow shoe addict - you don't have too many shoes jare! People just don't understand - we need to have a wide array of colors in sandals, slippers, ballet flats, high heeled sandals, high heeled shoes... I mean, the possibilities are endless!!! lollll

  6. Hmmm...I'll just get a piece of paper and note down those that catch my eye. Haha. I'm with you, though. A girl can't have too many shoes. NEVER!!! They are the perfect complement to any outfit so each has to be the exact fit, colour, style etc. I mean, even with black shoes, one must a number of them in different styles and fits. Meanwhile, I am not enabling our habit oooo!!!

Okay, it is, but some people like to have sooooooooooooooooo many choices.

  10. Cakes told me about your shoes, so I'm not surprised. I recognise about three of them that I've seen physically. I watch project fame every weekend, and yes, the guys are better.

    1. They're called sales, which I shop mostly because I'm a frugal spender. Of course Nine West is cheap compared to Louboutins but those are way beyond what I'm willing to spend.
