Anyways, I pushed the idea from my mind... until Mai Atafo came out with his Etibo-Woko collection. I was in sweet agony!!!!! Sweet because YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS; agony because it was my idea! Well, kinda. Great minds think alike aye?
After that, I knew that one day, my Etibo dreams would come to pass. It wasn't until last month though, that I happened to playfully mention to Cakes that I wanted an Agbada. He said his tailor/designer could make me one, and then I had an EUREKA moment! If I can get an Agbada, I can get my Etibo!
Jeffrey Uzor, who owns Jeff Urban Clothing was the man who made my dreams come true! He's a young and talented designer, who I think can only improve and soar to greater heights! And he's a sweetheart too.
A few days after I got to Atlanta, I asked my brother if he would help take my photos, and he agreed. Little did I know that he was using me too - to build his portfolio, which you can check out here.
This photo below is one of my favorites of the bunch.
The hat and cane were borrowed from my brother-in-law.
I love the black and white, monochrome look. There's just something about it that is clean, classic and sophisticated.
Don't I look like a Rivers Chief? :D
My Snapchat followers already saw this post coming ahead of time, as I took a few photos during the shoot.

ReplyDeleteThanks Eny! Glad you love it :)
DeleteI started wearing my Dad's clothes when I was 16 and oddly enough he did not say much, guess he assumed it was a phase. That is how my love for sewing and fashion started; I really like idea of Etibo for women and gosh the studs and neckline are pretty nice. Have you thought about changing the sleeves to maybe a 3/4 or short sleeve? x
ReplyDeletewww.youtube.com/c/True Sorella
You did? I wanna see those photos!
DeleteMaybe the next one will be 3/4 sleeve. I'm not sure about the short sleeve option.
Thanks!

Hi Berry,
ReplyDeleteHow are you?
I love androgynous fashion, you look so lovely and your posing skills are so good. Lol
I like the length of the dress, gives it a chic silhouette. Your brother did a great job, the photos look like an editorial in a glossy magazine.
Enjoy the rest of the week.
