My friends (and some family members) have always thought that I have a crazy bone in me. Mostly because I'm the dictionary's definition of random. But sometimes, they're still shocked when I do something new... like my current hairstyle. The grey hair trend has been in full swing since last year, but it wasn't until earlier this year that it occurred to me that I could also rock the hair color.
I went and bought Femi collection Kinky Twist Braid hair in Color 44. My cousin did my cornrows, and my other sister and I crocheted the hair in. We were skyping with our parents while doing the hair, and they both kept shaking their heads and wondering which alien ship dropped me in their laps. :p My mum kept asking why, and my reason is this - right now, I'm between jobs. If I'm going to do anything crazy, now is the time. Shey I'm making sense?
Anyways, I loved the results!
I think it took my sister a couple of days to get used to it. My nephew said to me, "Aunty Berry, is your hair grey? Why? Why is your hair grey?" My brother said the hair is clean! Hello? Clean! What does clean mean anyways? These youngsters and their slangs sha.
Cakes, just like my parents, was shaking his head too and wondering which kind of wife he married.
A BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is the hair not fierce?!?!? See enh, I'm not allowing anybody to tell me it's not nice. Everywhere I went to this weekend, people kept stopping me to say they loved my hair. We went to the zoo on Saturday (photos coming next week), and one lady stopped me to say that she thought I was very beautiful. Chai, if only I had a video recording of it. Best believe, every time someone complimented my hair, I went to whatsapp to duly inform the parentals and husband. They must love it by force!!!
