Berry Family Weekend

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Berry beautiful and handsome dahlings!

How was your weekend? The first person to tell me what they did this weekend wins a prize! I don't know what the prize is yet but I'm sure I'll find something nice. Don't forget the ongoing She Leads Africa SheHive Giveaway. If you're an entrepreneur who wants a week of awesome networking and advice opportunities, click here for more information.

Anyway, my weekend was packed! If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat (Berrydakara) then you already know I headed to Port Harcourt and Owerri to see my dad and grandparents. I had a great weekend with family. Family is so important and even if you don't have a great relationship with yours, I pray that moving forward there's a change for the better :)
I flew Dana airlines, which had the very unfortunate crash in 2012. But my travel experience was mostly smooth and they were so prompt and the customer service as usual was pretty good. I got into PH on Friday morning and went to work - ain't nobody using precious vacay days for PH visits. After work, I ran an errand with my dad, went home and tried to convince my friend to take me clubbing with her but she refused - because I'm married! Still trying to understand her logic. Don't mind her, she had a date and didn't want me to come along up

On Saturday morning, we were off to Owerri. We had breakfast first and set off.

This should have been a 2 hour journey but it took us 4 hours because the road in Imo State is a disaster at some point. We detoured through some random villages where the boys were trying to charge each vehicle money for passing their road.

I'd love to share photos of my extended family on the blog but it's a little too public, so pics of my grandparents are on Instagram. You know my granddad is 90, right? When we got to Owerri he was out giving a presentation at a Rotary Club event. He's a longtime Rotarian and I want to be just like him! Check out all his pins below.

Owerri Sights

When we headed back to Port Harcourt, we decided to use the main road because we thought it would be faster. It was, but check out the photos!!!!!

How can this be a federal road?!?!?!?!? Who is to blame for the deterioration? Meanwhile the road in Rivers State was fine o. Imo State, ke kwanu?

When we got back to PH, I went out for drinks with the lovely lady who I've known since I was maybe 5 or 6. I'm selling her to the highest bidder!

On Sunday after church, I took my dad out on a Daddy-Daughter date! We went to PH Mall, and had Indian food at Spice Route. Shall I post a review this week?

Port Harcourt Mall ain't half bad yo.

Then we stopped at Yogurberry on Apara Road, GRA Phase 2. My chocolate frozen yogurts aka froyo was so good and just N600! If you're in PH, make sure you go there. My sister's friends own the franchise in PH.

And so that was my weekend in PH and Owerri. I had an awesome time! But before I go, I just had to ask... When did Beyoncé and Jay-Z move to the Garden City? :-S

BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Have a lovely week everyone!

Then on Sunday was @ a baby dedication, where I saw the sequence fabric I used as my top was the same they used for tablecloth ( hahaha), just for laughs. But I enjoyed myself.
