Berry Slow Weekend

Sooooo, it appears that I don't learn lessons very quickly. Even after mentally shutting down and needing a break, this weekend I somehow thought it would be an awesome idea to pack in activity on every single day! Well, guess what? My body said, "HECK TO THE NAW!!! I'll show you who's boss!" Let's just say there was a visit to the doctor, medical labs, needles, blood drawn, and more pills than I'd like to remember. It's been hard to keep food down - no, sadly, it's not pregnancy; the doctor says it's a minor infection. It's so freaking annoying!!!

I managed to drag myself to the Redefining Career event by the Inspired By Glory team on Sunday afternoon.
I went mostly because I'd been looking forward to it, and was expecting to see a few familiar faces there. Unfortunately, I got there about 30 minutes late, having to sit at the back and I felt a bit disoriented.

FUN FACT: Sometimes, I have this "teacher's pet" syndrome, and want to get to places early, so I can sit in front and be a good student.

Anyways, lucky for me, there were some seats open at the front and the minute they mentioned that some people could come up front, you should have seen the way I flewwwwwwwww. All became right with the world again :D and I was able to concentrate,

I'll share what I learned in a follow-up post, but here are some photos from the event.

BIOLA ALABI

GLORY EDOZIEN

ESTHER ESHIET

WANA UDOBANG

CHIOMA OKOLIE

TOYIN ODULATE

TITILOPE SONUGA

I didn't take any photos of myself, but I ran into a reader, Shona and her sister and they put up a couple with me on Instagram...

The event was waaaaaaaay packed, which means that women in Lagos really want to empower themselves and learn from others. But at the end, we were informed that this might be the last one as they need funding from sponsors. If you know anyone who can and will sponsor further editions, please send them Glory and Wana's way.

Hope you all have a great week while I recuperate.
