Berry Cake-filled Weekend

Yo yo,

So I said I didn't have much of a weekend update to post, because I had big big plans for it that didn't happen. On Saturday, I was invited to The House of Lux event, and I had other plans already (my friend's children's birthday party) - by the time we left, Cakes and I were exhausted and just weren't up to it. It's fine anyways because I saw photos and people were glam'd up, and I would have walked in there in denim shorts :p

Then Sunday, I had invites for The Eko Atlantic Beach Tournament, as well as an event for bloggers by Joel Lani Accessories. There was a combination of unfortunate things that caused me to stay home on Sunday. I won't tell you what exactly, but let's just say thank God I can eat food now and keep it in my stomach (TMI?).

Anyways, last week Cakes and his team of talented bakers made WONDERFUL cakes for my friend and her family. The comments ranged from "Wow, my expectations were exceeded!" to "Noooooooo, I don't want to cut the cake. It's too pretty!!!!!!!!"

BUT before I show you THOSE cakes, here are a couple he made the week or two before.

You guys should see me watching Frozen. I actually sing and dance along to all the songs.

I mean, this cake is sooooooooooo cute!!! I love the colors! I actually commended the customer for ordering a different cake design from the orders Cakes usually gets.

Okay, the last 4 cakes are the ones for my friend - her children's birthdays are within 2 days of each other, and they had a birthday party on Saturday.

Her son LOVES Michael Jackson, even though he's only 4. Can you guess which MJ video inspired the cake?

Her baby girl just turned 1, and she's the cutest thing! Uncle Cakes made her a Popcorn and M&Ms cake!

For the party, which had a circus theme, Uncle Cakes worked round the clock from 7am on Friday to Saturday morning at maybe 8am. He came home on Saturday at 9am to shower and go off to deliver the cake. I got ready just in time to head to the party :)

Chee, her niece, an elephant and I at the birthday party.
And now, the masterpieces that were the party cakes!!! Remember, CIRCUS THEME.

And now, MY favorite cake - THE CIRCUS VILLAGE!!!

Oya, who's clapping for Cakes? The whole Cake Factory aka Cakesiena Team deserves a round of applause! No, a STANDING OVATION! Can you tell how proud I am of my honey boyfriend husband?! I'll take these cakes over Flavour N'Abania's voice :p

CALL 0803 311 8995 to order your Birthday, Office, Bridal shower, Hen night, Naughty, Wedding, etc. cakes and cupcakes!

Aight, have a loverly week everyone!

  11. How much do the cakes cost on average, I know the size and complexity of the design will be taken into consideration but can you give a ball park figure?

For instance the ladybird cake? Or a two tier cake? My son's first birthday is in a couple of weeks so I need to start thinking of his cake...

    *sigh*

    1. I don't know the prices offhand, but what I know is that he works with your budget. So if you want the ladybird for instance, but the price is above your budget, he can make it smaller or do a different character

    1. Eeeek! Great point! Gawsh, is it possible to watermark photos I've already posted or I have to do it and repost?

    2. Very good point Anon. Berry, you'd have to replace the uploaded files. Also, you should tag your photo metadata. I use lightroom and nothing gets exported without copyright and author info as well as the watermark, unless i specifically choose to do otherwise. You don't need lightroom, it just makes it easy for me.
