I personally think that Kim Kardashian West is one of the most beautiful women on the face of the earth. Say what you will about the Kardashian women and their claim to fame (famous for being famous), but nobody can tell me that Kim is in any way, shape, or form ugly or unattractive. If you tell me that, then I know you've been sniffing all kinds of things that are bad for you - actually I'm not sure sniffing anything is good for you at all.

Anyways, so I was going on about Kim's beauty yeah? But it occurred to me last year that Kim's face has changed over the years. Like dramatically. Late last year I happened to catch the first season of KUWTK and I was quite stunned! Kim looked "foreign." Like you could tell she definitely had Armenian blood. Season 1 aired in 2007, so almost 10 years ago.

Now we're in Season 11. I definitely thinks she looks a lot better - better hair, better makeup, better skin definitely, blah blah blah (yeah, because they have more money now, I hear you).

I think its majorly the makeup and skincare. All that highlighting and contouring does wonders to the face. I mean, even me sef - I look more "black -americanish" when they make me up. *coughs* but really though.

DeleteI think it has to do with make up, diet and majorly make up. However my concern is with our (women) general perception of beauty. Does that mean the 'typical showbiz-American look' is more beautiful compared to others. Am just wondering aloud ni oh. cos with the increase in toning (or bleaching) and make up it seems we are getting lost in looking like other races than improving on our local looks.

DeleteTo some people, unfortunately, that's the standard. They want you lighter, with more makeup, longer weaves, etc. It's one thing to try to have better even-toned skin, it's another thing to intentionally try to change your skin color.
DeleteWere you being coy about whether she had plastic surgery? She definitely looks more plastic-y now. Even without the heavy makeup, they are quite open about all the "regimens" they do. botox, fillers etc. That can dramatically change a look. There are so many procedures now that people with money know about. She definitely doesn't look as ethnic as she used to.

DeleteShe is really beautiful and no matter what people say I like her family. But she also did some facial stuff about 2 or 3 years ago where she injected her blood into her face to keep her from looking older. You can browse on it though.

DeleteShe may have had work done (and I thought her nose was worked on before their show even started), but to me it looks like age and weight has changed her face the most. Ten years is a long time when you're going through that early adult-30 range!

Money and plastic surgery aside, I've learned that a woman's face sharpens with age, the angles become more defined as the fatty padding left over from adolescence thins off.
In a woman who's very religious about self-preservation (skin care, fitness etc), the aging process reveals her beauty, but the reverse is the case for a woman who isn't so meticulous about her beauty regimen. That's why some 50-year old women look half their age.

I think surgery is a part of it but aging also has a way of chiseling a face due to decrease in fat especially in your thirties just before stuff starts falling. :)

DeleteKim is beautiful and I think the change has to do with her makeup because whenever she is crying I still see that old Kim face LOL. She actually has tutorials on how she achieves some of her looks so I don't think her face was worked on but other body parts? I don't know *runs away*
