Monthly Reminder: Breast Cancer Self Check

Sorry everyone. I forgot to post this on the 1st, like I promised to do every month, but it's better late than never. As I mentioned when I first started, a family member was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to undergo a mastectomy. She's not even 30 years old and it's really heartbreaking. She's undergoing chemotherapy right now, and afterwards, radiation. I pray that every cancerous cell in her body will be removed and not come back, in Jesus' name. Anyway, please remember to check your breasts today - male and female.

  1. Dear Berry, God bless you loads for always bringing these reminders to mind. I've been so scared at the rate of cancer spread among young people these days and was still having a discussion with my colleagues this morning. Besides the self check (which may really raise no alarm till its in the later stages) is it true that you are not advised to have a mammogram when ure less than 40 years of age as it may affect fertility?

    1. Hmm, never heard that before. I'll check with a doctor and research for more info.

  3. Hi Berry. Thanks for the reminders. I'm not one to give unsolicited advice but this cancer thing really gets to me. My aunt was diagnosed last year and she had to do chemo. After each round she would get violently ill but we were able to nurse her back to health using fruit-vegetable smoothies and veggie juices made with carrots, beets, cucumbers, lettuce and celery/parsley. It helped her recover quickly. I'm no doctor but u can research a bit on it and maybe your family member can try it out if she hasn't already. I pray she feels better soon.

    1. Thank you very much for your prayers, kind words and suggestion. I've relayed the information... at least, I don't think it would hurt.
