I never Esperred it!!!

NB - I had actually posted this last night, but wanted to get pictures from my camera and so I just finished editing the post, so voila!

Woot woot! My birthday finally came and went! YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CHAI! It was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much fun! I wish I could have carried you in my pocket - no wait, my dresses didn't have pockets - inside my bra like all them market women. Actually, it's not only a market woman trait, as I carry my phone inside my bra sometimes (in the cup, or held to my shoulder by my strap). Yes, I know I'm crazy but who currs?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Where do I even start from? Okay, let's go chronological, shall we?


WEDNESDAY
Because my birthday falls on a holiday, I usually have a cake at work the day before or after. This year, I decided to have my colorful cupcakes at work the day before. Everyone was in a good mood, and my boss made every single person on our team sing a song for me. As in, check out praise party that we had in our office - it was the funniest thing!

After work, I headed over to my friend's place for dinner. We share the same birthday and she hosted a few of us girls for food, drinks, laughs and more! We were stuffed!!! *It was at last year's dinner that Cakes proposed*

We tried to have a Girls Night Out after dinner and failed miserably. Last year's GNO was thwarted cos of the proposal. This year's GNO was canceled coa every place we wanted to go were closed for the night! I thought it was weird that at least 3 different lounges were closed the night before a holiday. Ah well, we carried ourselves to our various houses but not before discovering some new place called Escape. I'd definitely like to try it out sometime. 

THURSDAY
After our failed attempt to go out, I slept for a few hours and woke up at 10:30. Honestly, I'd completely forgotten it was my birthday until I checked my phone and saw 10 missed calls and messages. Unfortunately for me, calling them back was a disaster because only 10% of my calls that day were successful - either I couldn't hear them or they couldn't hear me. This happened when I was the caller, and also the receiver. My other phone was more useless cos it had an SOS signal the whole day! T-Mobile, I miss you!

Deeds, health nut extraordinaire, thought it would be an awesome idea to work out. I wasn't very pleased, but Chee was all for it and I had to go walking/jogging with them. Unfortunately, I got out of breath quickly - lack of regular exercise and I had forgotten to use and take my inhaler before leaving the house. They slowed down for me though - sweerie pies! When we got back to the house, it was time for circuits, which ended up being fun.

After having lunch, I dashed off to meet Cakes at Grey Velvet Lekki store for their sale, and he got me two items by Mak Nisy!

We went home, rested for a little bit and headed off to Churrasco for a romantic dinner. Alas, my poor husband is the wrongest person to take to a buffet because he gets full after appetizers :p We had fun though and I LOVED our giant cocktail.

FRIDAY
On Friday, I went to work and was just itching to leave because we had an event to attend later that evening. My friend had a baby girl recently and Cakes was commissioned to make a thanksgiving cake for her. It was sooooo pretty! I must tell you, this was the most fun night I've had since my wedding!!!!!!!! There was music, dancing, laughter, food, drinks galore.

Oh and I met one guy like this. Tall, light-skinned Igbo boy like that. He has locs in the back of his head and his sides are shaved. I think he sings. I sha serenaded him for 2 seconds, before I was abruptly cut off by his laughter and apparent shyness. That's how instead of just shaking my hand, he clasped my hand in BOTH hands as he said thanks and God bless after I told him how he's one of my favorite singers. Anyway, here's our picture. SATURDAY
And we rested on the 4th day of activities. Note to self, don't sleep over with Chee, because she will wake up early for no good reason and start talking or watching Big Bang Theory. She woke up before noon, less than 4 hours after we had finally slept! WHY? Well, her mum was looking for her to run errands, so we all had to get it together and be good, obedient girls. Cakes came to pick me up at her house, and we got a few groceries, went home and I proceeded to crash in the living room before 7pm! Yet, I was fighting with Cakes when he told me to go to the room and sleep properly. I eventually succumbed and didn't wake up until 8am on Sunday for church.


SUNDAY
Church was soooooo good! It was Thanksgiving Sunday, and the praise session was out of this world!!! We were jumping, shouting, hollering, running, and just praising God. Truth be told, I've been a little out of sorts faith-wise and had even been church-hopping. I'm not entirely sure I'm done church hopping, but yesterday was definitely needed. Afterwards, I headed to Oriental Hotel for The Garden/Flower Show. In retrospect, I don't really remember looking at any specific bouquets. I met up with Chee and Deeds, and their company was more what I remember. I met Eku too and she was really nice and chatted about her outfit, which I thought was super cute. Either ways, I got some pictures to share :)
