Cruise Vacation - Costa Maya, Mexico

Hola!

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good - I got a chance to really rest, and so I feel pretty refreshed today. I know it seems like our Family Cruise 2018 series will never end, but I promise, I have just 2 more posts after this one. I'd like to share some photos of the ship, and all the food we ate :D But in today's post, I'm sharing photos from our very last stop on the cruise with Royal Caribbean. We docked at Costa Maya, Mexico (remember our first Mexican stop in Cozumel?).

Cruise Vacay - Roatan, Honduras

We're continuing with the cruise vacation posts today, and this time our stop takes us to Roatan, Honduras. To be honest, if it wasn't for the cruise, it would never have occurred to me to visit Honduras. It's just not simply a country I had ever considered going to - mostly out of ignorance, I guess. But it proved to be our favorite stop during our week long Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas!

Cruise Vacation - Nassau Bahamas

Hey there!

How are ya? And how was your weekend? I hope it was great. Mine was sooooooo unexpected, but I won't address it here. From today, for the next few posts, I want to share about my family cruise vacation to the Caribbean in September. We traveled on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas, for a 7-night cruise. We had 4 stops in total, visiting the Bahamas, Mexico and Honduras. It was a very memorable trip, and today I'm going to share a few short stories and some photos.

Unfortunately, I didn't get as many photos (and videos) as I thought I would. But the few ones I have, I'm very happy to share.

Traveling with a Baby - Part 2 - Diaper Bag Packing Checklist

In part 1 of this series, I shared a few tips on what I did before and while flying with Baby Cocoa on her first flight to Detroit, and her second much longer flight to Lagos, Nigeria. Flying with a baby can be daunting, especially if you're traveling alone with the baby. I won't lie and say the international flight was a breeze. Baby Cocoa is a generally easygoing and cheerful baby. A lot of passengers on every single flight we've been on always complimented her, and said how sweet she is and told me how lucky and blessed I am to have such a happy and friendly baby. Honestly, during a flight from Abuja to Lagos, she allowed one of the air hostesses to carry her off!

DISCOVER GEORGIA - Helen

It's been a while since I've done a Discover Georgia post, hasn't it? A lot of people seem to believe that Georgia begins and ends with Atlanta, without seeing the many other interesting parts of the Peach State. I've shared a few of these posts already and hope to do more very soon. I have an outing planned for this Wednesday actually. Anyways, on to today's post on HELEN, Georgia.

DISCOVER GEORGIA: Lake Allatoona

It's been a while since I posted in this series. My Discover Georgia series was started to show you different tourist attractions in the state of Georgia, that aren't just restricted to Atlanta. I mean Atlanta is a fun city, but there are other things to see, eat, do and explore in Georgia. In this post, I'll share some photos and tips from our fun family outing at Lake Allatoona.

Trip Advisor Vacation Rentals

It's been 2 months since my family visited the UK. In my multi-part UK series posts, you saw England and Scotland through my eyes. One part of the trip I haven't yet posted on was our accommodation/vacation rentals.

Our UK Family Holiday - Part 7 - Edinburgh Castle

Edinburgh Castle in Scotland is the last photo-heavy post of my UK Holiday series! Any other posts will be via video/vlogs, so stay tuned for those. I must admit, I was starting to get a little fatigued with the posts - sooooo many photographs! I just did like someone suggested and didn't edit them... 2300 photos!

Anyways, thank God for a fantastic family vacation! We're trying to have an annual trip, and thinking next year will be in CUBA! We'll see sha.

Like I mentioned in yesterday's post, Royal Mile is sandwiched between Holyrood Palace and Edinburgh Castle.

Our UK Family Holiday - Part 6 - Hello Scotland!!!

Hey everyone!

I know most of us have been or are in holiday mode, and I hope you're all enjoying yourselves. The UK Holiday series is coming to an end this week, I think. I've enjoyed reliving the vacation experience while writing the blog posts and editing photos. For today's post, we're finally entering Scotland! Now, please don't think me unintelligent, but for some reason I thought Scotland was a country on its own *hides face*. It just never registered that the United Kingdom is composed of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. While they may be one country, they all have different cultures, so to speak.

Our UK Family Holiday - Part 5 - Girls Day Out

Let's get right into the next part of my family's UK Holiday series, shall we?

Remember in my Travel Tips for Large Groups, I mentioned that you should schedule personal/alone time? On the Sunday while we were in England, we were all free to do anything we wanted. I decided to meet up with an old friend from secondary school (she blogs here), and a new friend from blogging (she blogs here).

We met up near here, which I've already blogged about.

Our UK Family Holiday - Part 4 - Buckingham Palace and London Eye

Guys!!!

I'm on a hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh!!! Game of Thrones is the best show in the history of television!!! The finale was all kinds of awesomeness!!! I'm going to be smiling for the next week... until I remember we have to wait until April for season 7 :(

Anyways, I'm continuing with the Brexit UK holiday snaps and history lessons today. On this particular day, I went to visit my Aunty Lili... her and my grandfather go waaaaay back... before she became the Queen of England. You know I have famous family members and friends, right? But just so I don't get kidnapped, I always keep a low profile. It's only you, my faithful readers, that really know what's up.

Our UK Family Holiday Part 3 - Afternoon Tea

Hey there!

How was your weekend? I hope you had a fun one. Happy Father's Day to all the men out there who are touching lives and leading by example! We celebrated my dad, brother-in-law and Cakes by taking them out to brunch. How did you celebrate?

Today I'm continuing with our UK holiday, and this time I'm sharing photos from our fun-filled day at Afternoon Tea. If you haven't been following, check out Part 1 - Trafalgar Square, and Part 2 - Marble Arch. As usual, I'll share some stories in between and a little bit of history and fun anecdotes. Let's get started shall we?

Our UK Family Holiday Part 2 - Marble Arch

Hiya!

In my last post, I shared photos from my family's first full day in England. We ended up at Trafalgar Square and enjoyed some street performers. We actually went down to Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street, but didn't take any photos. I was in charge of the holiday calendar in London, and I made sure to include personal days. Check out my post on Travel Tips for Large Groups.

Our UK Holiday Part 1 - Trafalgar Square

Hello me dahlings!

I'm seriously trying to get back into the groove of my regular blog posts. While we were in the UK, my blogging schedule kinda suffered. Between all the traveling, sightseeing, and getting sick, I just couldn't post as much as I wanted to. And even after coming back, the zeal to edit the photos and videos was severely lacking. No joke, I have over 2300 photos from our time in England and Scotland! Since they are so many, I will break up the posts into different parts, and I hope you enjoy all of them.

Travel Tips for Large Groups

If you've been keeping up with my blog, you know that my family and I traveled together for the better part of a month. In all, there were 10 of us - 8 adults, 1 child and an infant. From road trips to long flights and train rides, we've had lots of fun (and also challenges). I thought I'd share some tips for traveling in large groups, based on our experiences.

Style Swap with Me!

Hey everyone!!!

Thanks for the birthday messages! I was really touched by every single one of them, both online and offline :) I'm back in Atlanta now, after traveling for almost 2 weeks. Our time in the UK was so much fun - I'm pretty certain those who follow me on Snapchat can attest to that. There were a lot of activities planned, and one of them was an outing with fellow blogger Nemi aka True Sorella.

We ended up hanging out in one of the H&M stores on Oxford Street, and she came up with an idea for us to style each other in different outfits. She's been able to get her video of me edited already, so I thought it'd be fun to share here. I have a backlog of videos to edit, but I'll try to get hers done soon as well.

Enjoy!

Travel to Pensacola, Florida

Hiiiiiiiiii,

I didn't mean to be gone so long *hides face* but we've been traveling like I mentioned, so it's been hard to sit down and blog. This is why you should plan ahead and IMPLEMENT!

About 10 days ago, my family and I went on a road trip from Atlanta to Mobile, Alabama for my sister's graduation. It was a 5.5 hour drive and we had a lot of fun on the road. My niece and nephew kept us laughing the whole time with their cuteness overload. We got to Mobile in good time, went out for Cinco de Mayo (a Mexican holiday), and went to bed feeling exhausted.

Driving through Owerri and Calabar

Hiya!

How was your weekend? I hope it went well. I had a fun fun time here, and I'll share photos eventually. Again, my Snapchatters already saw everything that went down :) The username is BerryDakara.

Before I left Nigeria, one of the most important things for me to do was see my grandparents. Cakes also wanted us to visit his sister in Calabar. The easiest thing to do was to fly to Port Harcourt, staying with my parents and then drive down to our various destinations. The week before I left, we set off on our tripping across Southern/Eastern Nigeria and while it was tiring, we had a lot of fun. Scroll through for a few photos.

Berry Atlanta Weekend

Hey hey hey!

Who's excited for Christmas?!?!? I'm looking forward to it but December seems like it's going to be really busy, and honestly, I'd really like to get some time to rest. While here in Atlanta, resting hasn't been possible - we've been out and about, and Cakes even had orders!

Anyways, my sister, brother, his friends, Cakes and I had a fun weekend that consisted of visiting a few places in Atlanta. Where we live isn't in Atlanta proper, so getting to go to the city made me feel like a tourist. Have you ever noticed that when you live in a city, you don't take advantage of what it has to offer tourism-wise? There are so many places in Atlanta that I've never been to and I lived here for 7 years! I think it's a good point to make a habit of discovering the city you live in. Have a staycation sometimes :)

Berry Away Weekend

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey,

How are you my darling?! How was your weekend? What do you have planned for the week?

At this exact moment, I'm sitting in the living room, Cakes is on the floor watching CNN (aka the bringer of news, most of which is bad), and we're both wearing hoodies and socks because...
