Vixen Crochet Braids Hair Styles

Hiya!

How was your weekend? I hope it was better than mine cos mine was UTTER CRAP!!! I was sick out of my mind! I had lunch with my sister on Friday afternoon at this Indian restaurant, and by the time I got home I felt weird. I thought I was just tired but it turns out I had food poisoning. I spent the whole of Saturday throwing up, sleeping, feeling sorry for my life, and other things I won't bother you with. Some people asked if I was preggers when I said I was sick... I feel like with Cakes being away, if I had gotten pregnant, it would be a BIG PROBLEM! :p

Anyways, those who follow on my Snapchat and Instagram would know that this post was coming up.

For about a month or so, I've had vixen crochet braids in my hair. It's basically crochet braids, but with hair left out at the perimeter and middle of your hair like so...

I used these Senegalese Twist Braids that looked kinda like natural hair, so that it would blend well with my own hair.

What I figured out was that all I needed to do was brush the extensions out with a paddle brush, and make sure my own hair was adequately stretched. Check out the different ways I stretch my hair here.

I really like that the hair is very versatile and that I can create many different looks with it, even though I have mostly worn it in a bun *hides face*

    1. Thanks Alice. I usually twist the leave-outs at night, just like when I have my own hair. And I wrap the hair in a scarf to sleep. I tried to moisturize as often as I could with my aloe vera juice, oils, and conditioner mix.

  7. Berry,

Is there a reason why you are not commercializing your crotchet braids talent. I saw this pics and I made a mental note that I will be booking your services when I am in ATL in October. Thats some cool $$$.

Please look into this. Crotchet is really hot atm and there is a huge market. Im not very good with my hands I wish I were. Remember, every talent or skill is a business opportunity. And there is no such thing as too many people doing it.
Your blog is a platform and also you can look into styleseat.com and only take appointments for when you have time.

P.S: With these styles you have come up with and how good you are. Have you considered natural hair bridal styling. Im extremely sure you will be great at it.

  11. When I first saw the picture of your hairdo on Instagram, I assumed it was your Nazuri Curls clip in, until I saw the crochet braids hashtag. The hair extensions really blended so well with your natural texture. Very very nice!
