I'm really sad about it and I teared up a little when I saw a clip of Red Corvette on CNN. My extended family and I have been on Whatsapp for the past hour talking about it, and my mum regrets that she never saw him in concert. Funny enough, he did 2 shows in Atlanta last week and I didn't even know! Well, even if I knew, the tickets sold out in minutes so I wouldn't have had a chance.
This reminds me of when Michael Jackson died. I've shared my reaction before in this post. I was distraught!!! I thought the world was about to end and I couldn't stop crying for 2 weeks!
Well, may Prince rest in peace. He truly was a legend and an icon.
Some of my favorite Prince tracks are
- When Doves Cry
- Cream
- 1999
- Let's Go Crazy
Who's the one artist you have seen or would have wanted to see? Mine's definitely Michael.
That's so sad.

DeleteWell,I heard the news (it was all over my social media pages) and I don't even know th guy. I'm only guessing he's one of those old guys who make better music than the noise we hear this days in place of music and I pray he R.I.P
ReplyDeleteWHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Prince was an amazing musician! I feel like most people know him, but maybe I'm wrong.

Ho ma gerhd! Akanbliv what I'm reading!
DeleteThe news of his death shocked me. He was among the memorable artistes from my childhood. He style, both musically and fashion-wise, was very unique.
ReplyDeleteYes, reminded me of MJ’s passing too. It's sad when Death snatches the heroes in our childhood memories.
It was so cute how some radio stations played a lot of his music after the news broke, I got to discover songs that I hadn't heard before. :-)
