As promised, here is a vlog where I talk about being back in the States for the past month or so. I put up a brief update in this post, but in the video I answered a few questions that were left on the blog. So grab a cuppa tea or mocha (my other favorite drink) and happy watching!
And yes, Cakes was bugging me! He can't get his hands off me these days :p
He's the only person that LIKES it when I gain weight *GRRRR!*
Awww Berry!!! Nice to "see" you again. Looking good... :) And Cakes too!
Wow...you got an MBA before moving back to Naija. Nice!!! I really do not know firsthand how it works in Obodoyibo oh..bhet from their movies (lol) , I see folks who do internships (with or without pay in places they aspire to grow in) move up the ladder after a while. Food, entertainment, ____ industries would suit your personality. You could give it a try.
Just a random suggestion. :D
Take care darl. :* P.S My blog returning sooooon! :)
I feel you on the whole trying to start a career as oppose to just getting a job. After a couple of years I knew I wanted more and I decided to make a complete turn around and went to med school while also getting an MBA. Best decision I have ever made. I think this is a great time to reinvent yourself and think of something you really see yourself doing long term. As for Cake, maybe he also can use this time here to kinda learn a few things... I know he's a MASTER at what he does but learning is never too much. Maybe he can look into come cheap community college baking classes and brush up on his skills while you guys wait. And I think it might even bring about networking for him while meeting other likeminded people. As for pregnancy, I am in the same shoes but I am making sure my waiting time is not wasted. I volunteer with kids when I can, I go on mission trips to help others and I just leave the rest to God. Please know that God sees you and hears you. You are love by Him and in His time He makes ALL things beautiful!
I think I have a clearer idea of what direction I want my career to go in, after speaking with a career specialist last week. It's just to buckle up and make it happen.
Yeah, Cakes does plan to take some master classes in the future when things have settled a little bit. And you're right about networking... we should look up entrepreneur, food/cake associations for him.
I pray God gives us (you and me, and others that are waiting) our children soon. And until the perfect time, I pray He gives us peace in patience.
Hey Berry! First time on your blog, love it. You're so real and a breath of fresh air tbh. My prayers are with you and cakes regarding your job. Your little one is also on the way..xxx
I love this video! It must be really daunting to just get up and leave Nigeria. Very brave! I am sure you that will look back on this time with much nostalgia very soon! good luck to you and I hope that God blesses both of you, your marriage and everything that you set your minds to!
