Confession of Faith

Hey!

It's been a REALLY quiet day. I chose to sit at home - well, not really... I had plans to meet up with some friends and one of them had to cancel. So, THEN I chose to sit at home for most of the day. While going through my devotional this morning, it talked about visualizing victory over sin. Of course it can't be done overnight, and there will be slips, but the will to change and persistently asking for God's grace to help you will get you to where you need to be. When I read that, it reminded me of the "Confession of Faith" written by Bishop Gilbert Thompson of Jubilee Christian Church (formerly New Covenant Christian Church) in Boston. I'd like to share it with you.

This is the day the LORD has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it (Ps 118: 24)
Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the Law. (Galatians 3: 13)
I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I but Christ lives by faith in me;(Galatians 2: 20)
His word dwells in me richly: (Colossians 3: 16)
I am blessed, (Eph. 1: 3; 2 Peter 1: 3-4)
I am healed, (Isaiah 53: 4-5; 1 Peter 2: 24)
I am delivered;(Matt 1: 21; Joel 2: 32)
I have been set free; (John 8: 32,36)
Sickness can't dwell in me; the number of my days He will fulfill,  (Ex 23: 25--26
Sin cannot dominate me: (Romans 6: 12)
Because Jesus Christ is my LORD; (Romans 10: 9)
And I am in Him; (2 Corinthians 5: 7)
By Faith, I have the abundant life and the victory He provides, therefore: (John 10: 10; 1 John 5: 4-5)
No weapon formed against me will prosper; (Isaiah 54: 17)
I am more than a conqueror because of His love; (Romans 8: 37)
Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world;( 1 John 4: 4)

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me: (Philippians 4: 13)
As the redeemed of the Lord, I SAY SO!  (Psalm 107: 2)

Amen! Have a wonderful weekend. :)

  1. Hi Berry,

I have also been blessed by Bishop Thompson's Confession of Fatih. I heard him say it many times when I attended Jubilee between 2006 to 2012. There is power in the word. I was reminded of it yesterday and remembered it. I sent it to my son to remind him also. I decided today to google it to make sure I remembered it correctly. And that is how I found you. Thank you so much for posting this.
    Sincerely
    K.Scott
