How are y'all doing?! How was your weekend? How many of you got into Black Friday shopping? Can I just say that it makes me chuckle that Black Friday is now a thing in Nigeria? Most of the deals I saw floating around were online though, so shouldn't it really be Cyber Monday? Ah well.
The whole week was really full - family photos, Thanksgiving dinner, outings, etc, so I'll break them up into different posts. This one will feature very few photos from the dinner itself.

We had a grand old time at our family Thanksgiving dinner this year. Last year, Cakes and my dad weren't there, so this year it was awesome to have the whole family together. My younger siblings have gone back to their schools now, and I already miss them - let's just say there were buh-bye tears today - mostly from me (but we already know I'm a crybaby, no?)
Thanksgiving Day itself was spent preparing and cooking in the daytime. Unfortunately I forgot to download my snaps from Snapchat, or I would have shown you Cakes in action, making his Shrimp Fried Rice (see his recipe here). I was in charge of plantain and a Shrimp Pasta salad. Everything else was cooked by different people or ordered. There was sooooooo much food - in fact, there's still a lot! Please find your way to Atlanta and come and take some. I've gained 10 pounds already!!!!!!!!!!!
We had a few family friends over and I think there might have been dancing? I'm not sure, because at some point I took my niece upstairs to put her to sleep and I may have taken a nap too. Dinner started with a word of prayer and everyone got to say what they were thankful for.
I'm grateful for a lot of things, but I'm most thankful for my family this season. What are you thankful for?
