Now on to the main business of the post.
I actually don't have much of a weekend write up for you. I know in Friday's post (about Married Women Sex), I said I would have soooooooooooo much to gist about today. Well, plans kinda fell flat. I had planned to get my hurrs done, go to Dab's new salon opening, attend the A White Space 90's party, and then finish off Saturday at Nike Art Gallery's first Jazz concert with my friend. But before that, I made brunch for moi and Cakes.
Well, I managed to get my hair done (I was late for my appointment but thankfully Kemi forgave me) - a rhassoul clay treatment - which deep conditions, and cleanses hair at the same time.
I had won a free hair style session during my last attendance at Naturals in the City, and decided to take advantage of it with Kemi. However, I didn't know that the hairstyle was a bow updo. As soon as Kemi told me that, I looked at her like "Gurl, I know I look young, but I ain't 5 years old!" No offense to people I know in my age group who have done said hairstyle, but it's just not for me. So we settled for this below.
|I need a protein treatment btw. I shall be doing a DIY protein treatment next week. Wanna see, #ornah?|
Then I drove off to A White Space because the party should have been on for 2 hours by that time. Except that I got there and *crickets* so I turned around and went looking for the new Savvy and Chic salon. I got to a certain point, got tired of driving, and instead went over to Chee's house where she was getting primped for a gig later that night.
Finally, I got to Nike Art Gallery and because I was late, parking was a bit iffy; and there were no seats apart from reserved tables, so I stood for a bit. Someone eventually got chairs randomly and I sat back and listened to some nice music for about an hour. They have a new cafe that served food and drinks throughout the concert. But I wasn't very happy that the waitresses were attentive only to people who sat at reserved tables. When I finally got their attention, they informed me that they were accepting cash only. REALLY?! Oh well. I left soon after because the food other people were eating smelled too good and it wasn't fair to me. I didn't get good pictures, but manage the ones below.
On Sunday, I did absolutely NOTHING!
I hope y'all had a better weekend than me. And I'm sure my mum is somewhere rolling her eyes that this is a boring post :p Eeeeeee not my fault!!! I can't have a bumping weekend every time, can I?
Maybe Cakes' cakes will excite you
