I didn't get up to much this weekend. Cakes and I have both been quite tired - him from work, and me from getting over a fluish coldish thingy. I was quite sick enough that I skipped working out for the better part of last week, but I should be back on track this week. Although the weekend was mostly quiet, we had a wedding to attend on Saturday. I'm normally not one of those people that goes to get my makeup professionally done before an event that's not mine. I like my makeup light and natural-looking. But, this weekend, I decided to pay Luxe Beauty Lounge a visit. They opened their store a couple of weeks ago, and I was going to post photos in a separate post - but I might as well do it now, since I don't have much to share anyways.
Remember Luxe Beauty Lounge hosted a giveaway last month - they make bath and beauty products. For now, their store and makeup services are open. They plan to expand and add hair and nail services as well. Right now, they're having a promo - Makeup and Lashes for just N5000! I don't know when it's ending but if you have anything coming up in the next couple of weeks, I would suggest you take advantage of this steal.

ReplyDeleteThanks Anonymous. I want to try and learn good makeup techniques, but certainly not have a full face everyday - that's just not the kind of person I am. And as far as needing a stylist, please o, I'm nowhere near a celebrity. I'm just a simple girl who wears clothes. I may not have an eye for style, but I have other positive aspects to me. I enjoy fashion, yes, but if style is NOT my thing, I can't kill myself. I understand that looking great and perfectly put together ups the ante, and while I would have liked to be that person, sadly I'm just not. Like I said, I can't kill myself because I lack style.

DeleteBerry you look amazing! And the dress looked absolutely gorgeous. But I get you on the daily make up thing. We're all different, and not everyone can do the make up daily thing (me for instance). You like you, and your husband likes you (and to be honest you always look nice in your pictures!), so i don't see the problem here. Do you and be comfortable ( as you're already doing), and once in a while have luxe berry weekend.

DeleteBerry,i like the fact that you are so comfortable with yourself,even without a make up face you are still comfortable,also the fact that you actually wore a slippers to a wedding means you r comfortable in whatever you r wearing.Ladies should learn to take a day off from makeup,makeup is good but it should not be every time make up.

It's good to look different once in a while and get lots of oohhs and aahs and get complimented. However that shouldn't be at the expense of your comfort jare.
