Brunch at The Public House

Brunches in Atlanta seem to the be THE THING to do on weekends. Titi, who I went to brunch with, has a list of some of her favorite brunch spots in Atlanta. I haven't been a big bruncher, but what I do like about going is the perfect combination of breakfast and lunch items. That and the boozy cocktails, which to be honest are perfect at any time of day(minus mimosas, which I don't like at all). Anyways, this time around I met up with another friend, who blogs here.

We both wanted to go somewhere we hadn't been before, and had a great price point. Something I like to do is check out a restaurant's menu beforehand. That way, I know in advance what I'd like to try and about how much I'll spend. We decided to meet up at The Public House in Vinings, which is about 15/20 minutes from where I live and is also part of Metro Atlanta.

We actually both decided on the same meal - Chicken and Waffles with a Pepper Bacon Syrup.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't been a big believer in Chicken and Waffles, but THIS WAS DA TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HO MAI GOODNESS! It was the perfect blend of sweet, savory and spicy! We both really enjoyed it a lot!

The potatoes were also very good. I find that I can hardly say no to potatoes, unless they have butter or cheese in them. I asked for mine sauteed with mushrooms, onions, peppers and asparagus. CHAI! It was perfectly spiced and there was no need for extra anything.

I had a glass of water with my meal, so all I spent at the end of the day was a little over $12 (although I added more for tip). I REALLY enjoyed the food, the company, the ambiance and everything and I would totally go back again.
Obviously someone was busy taking photos while her friend had almost finished her food.
I had a lot of fun hanging out with Funmi, and I definitely need to do a better job at reconnecting with old friends. I hope you enjoyed the photos and that they made you hungry :D
