BERRY VLOG: Six Month Update

Hiya!

Last week, I shared a little about my journey towards getting to 1 Million views on my blog. I also answered some questions that were sent to me about my experience with blogging generally. I had also called for questions concerning what I've been up to in Atlanta for the past 6 months. Although some of the questions did not exactly relate to the topic, I still went ahead to answer them - like why I don't cook, and mostly leave my husband to do the cooking :p

In the video, I talk a little bit about my new job, writing a book, blogging full time and more, so definitely check it out :)

  1. I am with you on the cooking thing. I cannot for the life of me figure out why some people enjoy abii love cooking. For wetin?

A few years ago, something took over me and I decided to cook on New Year's day. My shocked brother went, "Ah... this is it for the year right? Until next year nah." I just burst into laughter. My favourite food places already know my order. I will gladly pay someone else to do my cooking for me.

    1. OGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, CAN I GIVE A HIGH FIVE, HUG AND KISS RIGHT NOW?!?!?!?!?

If you know how my mum hounds and teases me because she knows the kitchen is not my fave place! The other day I randomly decided to cook, so she took advantage of it and made me cook 2 extra dishes :p

  2. First, you are so real and easy to relate to.

Second, you should write that book. Trust me, I know first hand that it's people who are great, brilliant and creative that doubt themselves the most. There's even one fancy quote about that, but I can't remember it right now. If you don't show up, the party won't start.
One of the things I'm obsessed about writing about is conquering fear and chasing your dreams, but I understand that one won't feel 100% every time, and that's okay. Look into that book. Sound the idea of different people and see where it leads.

2016 was the year I set a lot of goals and when towards the middle of the year, I hadn't achieved some, I set half year goals too!

First you need to show up and the rest will be fine

    1. Thank you Miriam - that makes me feel nice and warm inside :)

I'm such a doubter when it comes to myself, which people think is weird. But thank you for the advice and vote of confidence!

I like half-year goals... even quarterly goals sounds good to me right now.
