It's been a while since I put up a travel post, hasn't it? The last time I posted anything travel-related was in January, from last year's Girls Trip to Las Vegas. Funny enough, that was my first real holiday/trip without Coco - same as this trip. I am an advocate for taking time off from parenting once in a while, and focusing on just having fun sans kids. It can be tricky as a single mother, but I thank God for a great support system at home. Coco was with my cousin and her kids for the most part, and her father had her for a little bit. This post is pretty photo-heavy as Catalina is absolutely beautiful, but I will share a little bit about the trip.

Travel Packing Cubes Review: Bagail
Prior to my last trip to Boston, I had never used any real sort of packing system. I would usually wait until the night before my trip to hurriedly throw things into my suitcase and carry-on, hoping everything would fit and that I wouldn't have excess luggage. For my last trip though, I saw the light. My sister had bought herself some packing cubes from Amazon, and I oohed and ahhed over them so much that she bought my mum and I a set to share.

Encore Wynn Boston Harbor
Have you ever heard the saying that the hotel room doesn't matter when you travel, since all you're going to do there is sleep? Do you agree with it? I for one, DO NOT!!! I love hotels! I love nice hotels! As a matter of fact, as a child, I told my mum that I wanted to live in a hotel when I grew up. In my mind having other people do all the cleaning and cooking sounded like paradise, and who doesn't want to live in that kind of environment, right?! LOL, if only real life were like that.

7 Reasons to Go on a Cruise
Hey there,
My name is Berry Dakara, and I am a cruise lover!!!! Well, to be honest, I've only gone on 2 cruises in my life. The first time was in September 2013 on a 5-day getaway to the Caribbean. My parents, sister, nephew and I hopped aboard a Carnival cruise ship. I blogged about it way back when over here. It was such an awesome vacation, that ever since then, I've wanted to go cruising. I was supposed to go on another cruise in February 2017, but my husband and I had to cancel our trip, as we had recently discovered we were expecting Baby Cocoa. It was not advisable for pregnant women to travel to the Caribbean at the time, because of the Zika virus. If you've been reading my blog, then you know my family recently embarked on a 7-night cruise on the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas cruise ship. As a matter of fact, at least one or two family members goes on a cruise every year. We're a cruisin family and I thought it'd great to let you know why you should go on a cruise too!

Cruise Vacation - Costa Maya, Mexico
Hola!
How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good - I got a chance to really rest, and so I feel pretty refreshed today. I know it seems like our Family Cruise 2018 series will never end, but I promise, I have just 2 more posts after this one. I'd like to share some photos of the ship, and all the food we ate :D But in today's post, I'm sharing photos from our very last stop on the cruise with Royal Caribbean. We docked at Costa Maya, Mexico (remember our first Mexican stop in Cozumel?).

Cruise Vacay - Roatan, Honduras
We're continuing with the cruise vacation posts today, and this time our stop takes us to Roatan, Honduras. To be honest, if it wasn't for the cruise, it would never have occurred to me to visit Honduras. It's just not simply a country I had ever considered going to - mostly out of ignorance, I guess. But it proved to be our favorite stop during our week long Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas!

Cruise Vacation - Nassau Bahamas
Hey there!
How are ya? And how was your weekend? I hope it was great. Mine was sooooooo unexpected, but I won't address it here. From today, for the next few posts, I want to share about my family cruise vacation to the Caribbean in September. We traveled on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas, for a 7-night cruise. We had 4 stops in total, visiting the Bahamas, Mexico and Honduras. It was a very memorable trip, and today I'm going to share a few short stories and some photos.
Unfortunately, I didn't get as many photos (and videos) as I thought I would. But the few ones I have, I'm very happy to share.
