How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good - I got a chance to really rest, and so I feel pretty refreshed today. I know it seems like our Family Cruise 2018 series will never end, but I promise, I have just 2 more posts after this one. I'd like to share some photos of the ship, and all the food we ate :D But in today's post, I'm sharing photos from our very last stop on the cruise with Royal Caribbean. We docked at Costa Maya, Mexico (remember our first Mexican stop in Cozumel?).
We decided to have a relaxing day and opted for a beach day. Again, my sister and I chose our plan using Trip Advisor and decided to go to Nohoch Kay Restaurant, Bar and Beach Club. To be honest, I'm not quite sure if the money we spent was really worth it - yes, we had unlimited drinks and food, and access to covered beach chairs. We also were able to snorkel if we wanted, but the water wasn't as pretty or clear as in Cozumel and Nassau, so I opted not to. Some beach goers saw stingrays in the water though.
Additionally, there were like 2 or 3 stray dogs, and y'all know I have extreme zoophobia (fear of animals), so I was not a very happy beacher. I did get a 30-minute full body massage though, and it cost only $20! Actually the lady was offering it for $30, but unfortunately for her, the manager of the restaurant had already told us it was $20. So HAHAHAHAHAHA!
All in all, we had a lot of fun. I really enjoyed this cruise - the memories, photos, experiences were awesome. I just wish we had been complete :( But there's always next time.
Oh, so we met a lady there who had been on a cruise 2 weeks prior to ours, got off her ship to visit Costa Maya, loved it so much, that she went back to the ship and packed her things and refused to go back home to the US. I asked her why she did something like that, and she said, "I'm 25 years old. I've been working for a while, but I got here and it's like paradise to me. I didn't want to go back to the same old life. If I ever got a chance to do something like this, it was now!" She literally called her mum and told her she wasn't coming home. She works at the restaurant and said she's having the time of her life! BTW, she's originally Mexican but has lived in the US since she was a child. I won't lie, I thought to myself that she doesn't have many responsibilities back home and could afford to leave everything behind. Would you do the same thing if you didn't have anything seriously tying you to your regular life?
Enjoy the photos :)
