Girls Trip to Las Vegas - A Photo Story

Hey y'all,

This post is a long time coming! I originally planned to put up these photos from our girls trip to Las Vegas late last year. Unfortunately, I just got really tired and could not bring myself to blog at all. I was still active on social media (mostly Instagram), and putting a lot of efforts into my podcast (Mommy Oyoyo). Admittedly, I also toyed with the idea of shutting down the blog - I know you're rolling your eyes at me, because it's not the first, second or third time I've thought about it. Anyway, as you can tell, the blog has not been shut down, LOL.

I hope you enjoy the photos. Scroll down to the end for a little note on why I went to Las Vegas, and what we got up to while there.

WHERE WE STAYED:
The Palazzo, sister hotel to The Venetian. I saw a hotel deal through a program at work and the deal was much better than other travel websites.

WHY WE WENT:
My sister's birthday. It wasn't a milestone birthday but she wanted to do something big and different from the usual dinner with family. She put the invitation out there and determined to go, whether anyone accepted the invitation or not. That's something I want to do this year: Go ahead and pursue my dreams and wants, regardless of if anyone is willing to go with me.

Of course it helped that it was going to be a child-free trip! HECK YES, I need to do that every year please and thanks!

WHAT WE DID:
For the third time in my life, I have gone to Las Vegas and did not go clubbing. The first time I went, I was too sleepy every single night and never made it out of bed at night time. The second time I went... same story. This third time, I was literally dressed and ready to go. One hour before we were supposed to leave, I slept off and nothing would have woken me up. Oh well.

We did NOT go to see Magic Mike. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. If anybody tells you they have evidence, they are liars. And if they show you the evidence, I was not there by that time. I didn't even go to Vegas. What is Las Vegas?

We walked. A LOT! Vegas is for walking. But that also means that we saw a lot of beautiful buildings, and took in the sights and sounds of the Las Vegas strip. And burned off the insane amount of food we consumed. Not ate, consumed!

We also did the Gondola ride in the Venetian, since we were next door. You can opt to do the outdoor one, or the indoor one. However, we were dealing with 100F weather and being outside was almost painful! Fun fact, a random man practically fell in love with me while we waited on the gondola line. He said he wanted to take me back to wherever he was visiting from, and kept blowing me kisses.

WHAT WE ATE:
We went to two buffets and MY OH MY! Those are buffets you dream about. They were expensive (Caesar's Palace set me back $60, and Wynn brunch buffet was about $40 or so)... but if I had the chance to eat there again, I would pay the same price willingly!

We had massive shakes and burgers at Black Tap in the Venetian. I can't remember if I loved my burger, but that shake though!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm hungry :(

We also had a birthday dinner for my sister at Tao, also in the Venetian. I love Asian food, and opted for Pad Thai. YUMMAY!

We randomly happened upon this cafe on the day we were leaving, and MY GOODNESS!!! I'm not sure if I've told you guys that as picky as I am, I adore pastries! I actually bought some to take back to Atlanta - they were really that good.

And that's all folks! Have a lovely next few days or week until I decide to post again :p
