Hey Cocoa!

Hey everyone!

I'm sorry I've been so silent on the blog in the past couple of weeks. June was a really tough month for me - I was quite stressed out emotionally and mentally. I also started the month with a tooth infection, which apparently can be common in pregnancy. I had to plan and prepare for my maternity photo shoot with my brother's media company, Primavera Pictures (@primapics on Instagram). I was still on doctor-ordered bed rest, waiting for Cakes and my mum to get back to Atlanta from Nigeria just in time for my baby shower. The plan was to start getting the nursery ready the week after my baby shower... BUT God had other plans! I started having contractions a few hours after getting home from the baby shower, and last week Monday, Baby Cocoa arrived!

Thanks to everyone who already congratulated us on social media! God is too much!!! Y'all praise Him for answered prayers and testimonies!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll share my maternity shoot photos soon, as well as my labor and delivery story. Would you prefer it in written or video format? Let me know!

I'm trying to figure out a schedule that works for me, so that I can get back to blogging properly. I love all of you for sticking by me :) God bless!

  5. Dear Berry,
I typed a long comment and the internet swallowed it up :( I will try again sha.

I wanted to say that I am so happy for you and so emotional about this new season of your life. I have been following you since your days as a corper, and have seen you go through the transition from young singleton to married and now mum. You seem like such a wonderful, open and kind person, and it's hard not to feel like one knows you in real life.

May God bless you both with ALL that you need to be the best parents possible to baby Cocoa and the best spouses possible to each other. May your home always be full of love and joy, may contentment and happiness accompany you wherever you go, and may sadness and heartbreak be far from you.

Congratulations again Berry and Cakes, and welcome to the human family lil' baby Cocoa (abi na vanilla sef ;) , sending you lots of love and kisses all the way from Bratislava Airport!

    Have a lovely weekend,
    Clara

P.s. I never comment, even though I read EVERYTHING, maybe that's why fate is making me type a second time today lol!

Congratulations Berry, I am very excited for you and Cakes. Just like Clara, I have been visiting your blog for a while(not as long as her though) but never commented(typical me). Kept you in prayers after watching your vlog on TTC and always looked forward to the day I will read your pregnancy announcement. Finally read the announcement but was 5wks late(hahahaha).
I remember how you always used the gym at work very early in the day, always in your element without a single care in the world(Yes! I know you from FMH)😊.
Congratulations once again my dear, may the love, joy and blessings of Christ never depart from your home. May baby Cocoa bring you & Cakes nothing short of fulfillment, joy&celebration.
Take good care of you all, remain prayerful, get enough rest, stay open minded and enjoy every bit of motherhood(there are lots more you'd discover that no one has ever mentioned to you!)
Waiting patiently to read your birth/delivery story...hahahaha
    Xx
