Maternity Style - Blues

This year I've been trying to make sure my finances are in order - saving a lot (for emergencies), and spending only where necessary (mostly). One of the pieces of advice I got was not to spend too much on maternity clothes, as I'll wear them for only a short amount of time - a few months. I did get some maternity pants that I started wearing from my first trimester - I think those were a good investment. But for the majority of this pregnancy, I've been wearing my same old clothes. A lot of them are stretchy and have been able to carry me so far.

I've worn this outfit in a previous post - before I got pregnant. On this particular day, I wanted to see if I could squeeze into it one more time. We were still in winter but the weather was pretty nice, so I was excited to wear anything that wasn't a sweater. And I was happy to wear these wedge sandals too - until I saw the photos :p

I've refused to get any new shoes or slippers until after I have Baby Cocoa, just in case my shoe size increases, like it did with my sister.

It was my hope to have quite a number of maternity style posts, but I'm learning that you can't plan too much with pregnancy. Each pregnancy is different - whereas freaking Ciara can be jumping and dancing up and down in the kitchen, I'm couch and bed surfing, per doctor's instructions :(

But it's all good. I thank God that so far, Baby Cocoa and I are doing well for the most part. We still have a little bit to go, and even though time seems to be going sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slowly, I know everything is covered by God and I thank Him for His grace through it all.

  7. It's so nice when you don't have to make too many maternity clothes purchases. I was also on a modified-work from home set up in my last months of pregnancy too. It gets boring, but here's my only advice- soak in the rest and quiet around you. ;) Until my boy arrived, I had no idea how much sleep I would no longer enjoy! Haha. It'll keep you young though. Have a wonderful however many weeks you have left until Baby Cocoa arrives!

    1. The boredom can be something else but I know how to keep myself busy if I'm not sleeping :

Make sure you hit me up whenever you get on this side of the world o
