Weekly Recap

 Hola!!!

Here's another Weekly Recap for you. But first, I'm not 100% sure I like the title "weekly recap." It just seems so generic and blah. I'll play around with it and hopefully come up with something a little more bright and cheery - or you can make suggestions in the comments too! So let's get into what I got into!

WATCHED

There's a running joke in my family that I haven't watched anything! Like classic or popular movies. For instance, I hadn't watched the Disney cartoon, 'Brave' until 2 weeks ago. I haven't seen any Star Wars movies. People legit screamed when I said I haven't watched 'The Color Purple;' not the new one o, the old one starring Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah from 1982!!! 

Anyway, I righted one wrong this week and finally sat down to watch 'Inside Out.' Coco and I agreed that we'd like to have Movie Nights at home on Fridays. I thought it was a sweet and interesting movie.

I also watched the short film "Ugo" that followed our brother Giannis Ugo Antetokoumpo on his first trip to Nigeria. It was nice learning a little bit more about him and seeing some familiar sights.

We are experiencing what I would say is a brutally cold winter. We dipped down to 10F a couple of times this week. To my friends up north, SHHHHHHHH! I know y'all are suffering with your -40 weather. Anyway, because of the cold weather and threat of a wintry mix, schools were closed for a day. I didn't complain because I didn't want to have to drive out in the cold, and thankfully I'm privileged to have a job where I can work from home if need be. Coco had just come back from her Grandma-Granddaughter trip and was excited to have an extra day off - she kept me laughing the whole entire day! She dressed up in one of my wigs, a hat, a pair of my heels, and decided she was a Fancy Lady! 

LISTENED

I'm back to recording for the Mommy Oyoyo Podcast and I had a fun time this week recording episode 79 - Things I Miss About Life Before Kids/Motherhood. I have to say, my podcast is a really good one. It might not all the bells and whistles and fancy sounds, but the content is great and you should DEFINITELY listen! Last weekend I met up with a few ladies for a vision board party. I liked how intimate the setting was and without getting into the details very deeply, I shared some of it on Youtube. 

Side note: in addition to bringing back this blog to a regular cadence, I also want to resurrect my Youtube channel even if it means posting videos that are less than 10 minutes long. PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL - I'd like to hit 1000 subscribers by the end of this year. 

P.S. Coco wants a Youtube channel of her own as well. I'm toying with the idea BUT will make it a private channel accessible to family and friends only.
