We were at London Heathrow airport, getting ready to check in for our flight back to Atlanta. I'll share photos of the trip in the coming weeks. So, there I was, in the bag drop line for Delta airlines when my sisters called out my name. I turned around and they were jumping up and down in excitement and pointing in a particular direction. I asked what was happening, and my immediate younger sister says, "Chiwetel!!! That's Chiwetel!!!" I looked beyond her, and saw this gentleman walking in slow motion with sooooooo muchhhhhh swag! Except he was walking in the opposite direction, so I only saw his back. Apparently, my sister had seen him walking towards her and in excited shock, pointed towards him and asked, "Are you?" And he smiled at her, nodded, and waved to her. I WOULD HAFF DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Chineke, foine Igbo brother like that! Choi!
Okay, so that was the first encounter.
Later on, after we had checked in and crossed security, we were all looking for food and other knick-knacks to buy. I was carrying my niece and walking in front of everyone, about to die from hunger, when I heard my same sister calling me. I turned around, and she said, "DID YOU SEE HIM?!?!?!"I'm like, "See who?" She says, "Chiwetel just walked past you! You mean you didn't see him?!?!" And I look beyond her, and sure enough, the same slow motion swag is walking away from me, and all I can see is his back... AGAIN!!!
Worraheck kinda encounters am I encountering?!?!?! As I type this now, I'm even wondering whether my siblings were just playing a joke on me, cos how is it that I'm the only one who didn't see his face?!
Blurry herck! This reminds me of the time I almost met Mikel Obi. I eventually met him sha, so somebody warn Chiwetel that his time is coming very soon.
Lol Berry you are too funny!

I look forward to the day!!! Assuming I don't faint first.
DeleteHehehe. I believe it's Cakes' guardian angel that's blocking you from checking out a fine man.
ReplyDeleteMy husband hates Hugh Jackman because I once said he had a dreamy body 🙄 Now if Hugh ever pops on the screen he distracts me from it. Sigh. Can't a girl feed her eyes?
I really hope you see chiwetel again and ask for a photo please!
LOL!!! Cakes can't even try with all the googly eyes over Jennifer Lopez, Caley Cuoco, and Jennifer Aniston. As in, he never stops!

ReplyDeleteBerry, you slack o. Or maybe you're just mature and respectable because I? I would have run after him, no jokes! I hope you meet him. His sister is a CNN anchor abi? In London or maybe the one in Atlanta? This meeting can happen ;)
Girl, I was about to come down with something, so it didn't occur to me to run after him. My mind wanted to but my body was just not willing :(
DeleteTurns out my sister knows someone who knows his sister... girl, I better start using my connections!
Lool. I love Chiwetel! Third time is definitely the charm, Berry. And this time, you'll be ready.
