Berry Cake and Lace Weekend

I'm sooooooooo bad! I'm sorry! This is the third week in a row that my weekend update is late.

*hiding face, bending down and asking for forgiveness*

Sorry o!!! See what had happened was on Sunday, I practically spent the whole day out, and by the time I got home, I was weary. Do you know what it means to be weary? As in, I could barely even smile. I walked into my apartment and straight to my bedroom. Unfortunately, I didn't sleep for a few more hours, but yeah... I was just beyond tired. So please, forgive me. Next week I shall be on time!!!

Anyways, this weekend was quite busy. We didn't do anything on Friday - I've noticed that we're not that couple that goes out on Friday nights. In fact, we hardly go out at night. People think that we're very busy and outgoing, but if you really look at it, we go out mostly during the daytime. Anyway, it was another Friday evening at home, but Mr. Cakes had to head out to the bakery. Can you believe he didn't really sleep between Thursday morning and Saturday night?!?!

Well, it was worth it! Check out this beauty we dropped off on Saturday :)

Isn't it so pretty?! And it went very well with the fantastic decor by Tsoule Events (also run by a guy). Is it me or are men in the events industry really talented?

I was so proud of this cake!!! I even had a video feed on Periscope while Cakes set up the cake. Unfortunately, I forgot to save the video, so I can't share it here :(

Since we were invited to the wedding, and the dress I originally wanted to wear wasn't ironed, I settled for my red lace dress. Yup, it's from the same material I wore in my Lace Separates post. You see why it's good to make several things?!

Who likes my hair? I brought out my Afro Nazuri Curls hair, and came up with this hairstyle on Saturday morning while getting dressed. Since Saturday, people have been asking if all the hair is mine... HOFF KERSE IT IS!!!

I promise I didn't wear flat sandals to the wedding, even though wearing heels is an issue these days.

Before we went to the wedding though, I had to stop at ColdStone Creamery because I was hungry. And I'm glad I did, because they have a new flavor - Chocolate Hazelnut!!! It's like Chocolate and Nutella mixed together - AWESOME YUMMINESS!!!

I typically mix my ice cream with Brown Coconut shavings, a Brownie, and a Waffle Bowl. It just takes the ice cream to the next level!

Okay, that's all the photos I have to share from the weekend. Well, I have two more. At the wedding, Cakes and I went to see his sister off and while walking back to the hall, Mr. Man started checking me out and taking my photos :p

Sometimes I have shape o!!! At least from the back sha.

Okay, I gotta run! Love ya! Have a nice week :)

  1. Berry you are hilarious! Your blog is such a cheerful space. :-)

I love your pride in your man's creativity, it is so heartwarming, Mr. Cakes is very talented, I looked carefully and you were right, the wedding cake and decor were very complementary.

Your hair is styled to perfection, the Nazuri extensions blended seamlessly with your own hair.

    Have a happy week!

  6. I seriously admire lifestyle bloggers o. It ain't easy. I'm a hair blogger and most of my washdays are on sundays and I end up sleeping immediately after. Lol!! It's well with you and cakes. And that cake look amazing, I'm sure it tasted great too. God will bless the works of your hands and cakes as well and give you both the strength you need. Enough of my ranting do have a lovely week ahead.
