Don't Give Up!

Where would you be in life right now if you hadn't quit or given up on one thing or another? If you had believed in yourself and had the confidence to see things through? If you fought past obstacles instead of deciding they were too hard?

This weekend I thought about where my YouTube page could have been if I persisted. I thought about how far my jewelry line could have been by now if I continued designing and making jewelry (I shared about this part of my life on the blog before). I wondered whether the events company I started with my cousin could have been handling big time clients and created job opportunities if we hadn't stopped. Would I have been a work-from-home mother if I had stuck to my sewing classes?

There are a lot of what ifs in life. The purpose of this post is not to keep wondering about the past but to spur you (and me) into taking action today and keep going! Think about where you could be six months, one year or even five years from now if you keep at what you're doing. You'll only get better, because with practice comes greater skill and greater reward.

Don't quit! Keep going. Keep swimming. Keep recording. Keep learning. Keep creating. Keep at it!

Sending you love, triple D hugs and delectable kisses this Monday!

P.S. I should note, as a reader posted, sometimes there is a need to move on from one thing, because it's clear that it will not work. In those instances, cut your losses and take away valuable lessons that will help you going forward.

  1. Well don't beat yourself up about YT. Really it is all about random luck most people would have a higher chance of getting hit by lightening then hitting it big on YT. But yes it can be hard to stick to something when it is appears to not be working out. But if you love it then why not?

    1. OH yes, Youtube is hard!!! I was doing okay, but stopped being consistent and it's now been 6 months since I posted anything. I don't want to half-ass it either, so if I'm not ready to do it consistently for a while, then I'd rather wait.

      Thanks for your comment!
