Berry Good Marriage/Relationship Advice

Hello friends,

As you all know, I consider myself to be very wise and like dishing out advice to those in need and those who don't care. I've told you why using pet names is bad for you, why you shouldn't have "our song," etc. Today I'm here to tell you why you shouldn't reprimand your significant other for spending money and shopping.

So while we were away on vacay, Cakes did quite a bit of shopping. As in, enough for me to start complaining. On one particular day, I kinda went off and said all shopping should stop - no more spending money!!!

Unfortunately for me, it was just as I was leaving the house with my sister to go to the mall. I entered a shop with her and this happened...

The dress was nice o! Hitting my curves right and all o' dat! I was kinda feeling myself yo. And just as I carried the dress to the counter, a nagging voice in my head said, "But 15 minutes ago you were telling Cakes that all shopping must cease. And now you want a buy a dress?!?!?!" My sister was just laughing at me and telling me "NTOO." So I had to drop the dress and go home empty handed. When I got home I apologized for losing my temper.

So Marriage Advice #826252: Wait until you finish all YOUR shopping before telling your spouse that all shopping and spending is banned.

Okbye

    1. I showed Cakes the photo when I got home and told him how I felt guilty and decided not to buy it. He asked how much the dress was, I told him, and he goes, "You're a joker! Better go and buy that dress now."

  10. Whaaaat! That's an amazing dress! Please tell me you went back for it! Hehe. I kinda agree with the bossy wife bit. Sometimes, we just have to be bossy cos husbands can be big babies. I'm the more thoughtful one when it comes to money and you best believe if he's shopping too much, I'm saying it. Nicely, of course, but he needs to hear it.
