Pink Lace and Silver Wrappings

At the end of the year, one of my closest friends invited me to her introduction. Some of you might remember, Style Fash, one of my Power Puff Girls. She used to have a style blog, and we actually met through blogging. She, Bex (another former style blogger) and I became fast friends. Even though we don't see each other much, whenever we do, it's almost as if we never missed a beat.

Anyway, since it was her introduction, she warned me to come in traditional Nigerian attire. It's as if she knew I would show up wearing a dress. She told me the colors were pink and silver. Luckily, I had a silver wrapper from my father-in-law's funeral, and a pink lace top that I've had for years. When I put the 2 together, they made a pretty good combination.

Before the event, Cakes and I had to stop over at a different venue to drop off a wedding cake for his friend. It was an outdoor wedding, held by the Lagos Lagoon and it served as the backdrop for my photos.

I need to learn how to pose :-|

Cakes and I finally set up the wedding cake (see photos on his page here), and headed over to watch my sister-friend as she embarked on a new step in life. I wish her and her beau a great life of joy together.

Oh, and then Bex and I got up to some silliness because that's what good friends do...

I hope you liked the photos :)

  11. Ah! I love, love, love your outfit, you look perfectly styled. :-)

Your lace blouse is so beautiful. I like that you left your hair out rather than tie a gele.

    1. Thank you dear. I don't really tie gele - I know they're beautiful but it's not my style. I worry about it being tight and giving me a migraine. Or making my scalp sweat.
